Sitting Bull was a legendary leader of the Lakota Sioux. He was a holy man, warrior, leader, and symbol of traditional Sioux values and resistance to the United States expansionist policies. He is among the best-known chiefs of the 19th century and is widely known for his part in the Battle of Little Bighorn.
